Case Study: Ecommerce Website Makes Car Dealers Ready for Digital Transformation
We book our holidays on the web, buy books, toys or tools online, why not a car? According to a study, around 30% are ready to buy their next vehicle online. Digital transformation has reached the automotive retail industry. It is about the digitization and optimization of all processes, from vehicle presentation to purchase and beyond. That’s what the new Pappas website is all about: Buying your next vehicle online. Visitors can choose from over 3000 new and used cars and transporters.
Project Summary
The realization of the comprehensive Pappas websites for Austria, Germany, and Hungary is based on Pimcore. It serves as a multi-tenant system for the three countries. The biggest challenge in terms of data technology was the implementation of a joint, comprehensive online shop for new and used vehicles. All vehicles are managed in the system, automatically forwarded to external portals, and maintained internally, thus ensuring simplified maintenance.
In addition, each individual dealer has access to a dealer portal. In this portal sales and price tags can be printed out standardized for all cars including QR codes, photos, logos, and locations.
