Data import from Navision
The challenge was that a very large amount of product, price, customer and custom customer discount data would be in an in-house Microsoft Navision and need to be transferred to the Pimcore system in a daily sync. For performance reasons, we opted for a nightly file-based import via XML files.
B2B shop for registered customers
Through the Pimcore eCommerce framework, we have developed a shop solution that allows existing customers to buy the Seal Concept products, including finding their own custom item number.
Automatic generation of material data sheets and declarations of conformity
The hitherto tedious manual preparation of material data sheets and declarations of conformity has now been replaced by automated generation. Since all data is already stored in the PIM, each time a material record is changed, the generation is triggered automatically.
Web2Print output of catalog data
The product data contained in the PIM can also be used in the annual creation of the product catalog, they are always up to date. Using the middleware Easy Catalog, we provide an Adobe Indesign interface with the latest product data. Thus, there is no manual input of product data required. This saves time in print production.
